This site is approximately 14.5 acres. Development Details On behalf of Keller Independent School District, American Parks Company is proposing to place two shade structures with metal posts and a fabric shade material over existing playground equipment southeast of the school building. The shade structures measure approximately 38'x 25'x 14' and 29'x 22'x 12'. The shade material will be blue and the metal posts will be yellow to match the color of the playground equipment. QUESTIONS CONCERNS How long will it take to install the structures? o It takes 4 -6 weeks to manufacture them and about one week to install them. How long will the structures last? o There is a ten year warranty on the shade material with a six year warranty on fading and an eight year warranty on the stitching. There is a twenty year warranty on the metal posts. The structures are rated for a maximum wind of 76 mph. Hail stones will bounce off. Fabric patch kits and touch up paint are available. How much do the shade structures lower the temperature. o Not sure, but probably around twenty degrees. Does the fabric block UV rays? o The fabric blocks out 97% of the sunlight and blocks out 94% of UV rays.
