Off -site shuttle parking is planned at Bicentennial Park; 450 W Southlake Boulevard. Development Details The applicant is requesting approval of a mass gathering for the Rachael's Challenge Rally year -end celebration for Carroll ISD students in grades PK -12. This rally will be a family- oriented event. Relay for Life is a fun filled overnight event that offers everyone an opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer. These walks to raise funds for cancer research are the primary fundraising activities held nationwide and sponsored by the American Cancer Society. In honor of those who battle cancer 24 hours a day, team members typically take turns walking the track throughout the night. This is a community -wide event that includes entertainment, food and games, including a celebration for cancer survivors and a touch Iuminaria ceremony to remember those who have lost their lives to cancer. Carroll ISD and the American Cancer Society are hoping to have about 300 teams of 8 -15 members each. QUESTIONS CONCERNS How late will the music be played? o The bands will cease by 10 PM. The DJ will be playing at low volume all night to keep the walkers awake and entertained. Development Details The applicant is proposing to expand visitor parking, add a 9,530 sq. ft. building for classrooms on the north side of the property, add a 7,740 sq. ft. building for classrooms on the south side of the property, build additional drop -off points, build 17,350 sq. ft. field house and expand staff parking. They are also proposing swing gates to help with traffic flow. QUESTIONS CONCERNS How many stories will the classroom expansion be? o Not absolutely sure at this point but we believe they will be one story.
