Issue
There is significant traffic congestion in the vicinity of the intersection of N. Peytonville Ave. and W. Dove Rd. during the peak AM and peak PM hours.
Recommendation
Consider intersection improvement options at Sams School Rd. and W. Dove Rd. as well as at N. Peytonville Ave. and W. Dove Rd.

Issue
The community desires to create a more efficient intersection at W. Highland Street and N. White Chapel Boulevard.
Recommendation
Consider intersection improvement at the intersection of White Chapel and Highland in the form of a dual roundabout.

Issue
Traffic congestion on the Carroll Avenue bridge will continue to increase as a result of development along S.H. 114 east of Carroll Avenue.
Recommendation
Conduct a study for a Texas turnaround on the east side of the Carroll Avenue bridge. Explore opportunities to fund the turnaround such as grants and partnerships with private entities.

Issue
Town Square is a pedestrianâfriendly environment, yet reaching Town Square on foot from surrounding developments can be difficult due to gaps in the sidewalk network.
Recommendation
As part of the Mobility Plan, evaluate pedestrian mobility leading to Town Square. Consider prioritizing sidewalk gaps leading to Town Square, particularly along Carroll Avenue.

Issue
Hotel Policy
The City is receptive to considering proposals for full service hotels at market driven locations along the State Highway 114 corridor.
Recommendation
Amend the Mixed Use Definition in the Land Use Plan to define the type of hotel appropriate within this land use category.
