WS Item 3 (2)M E M O R A N D U M January 10, 2012 To: Shana Yelverton, City Manager From: Ken Baker, AICP Director of Planning & Development Services Subject: Approve Wayfinding Sign System Plan Phase 2 and 3 Action Requested: Review and approve the FY2012 Wayfinding Signage Priority List Background Information: The Wayfinding Sign System Plan is a component of the Southlake 2030 Comprehensive Plan and was adopted in 2010. In the Spring of 2011, Phase 1 of the plan was initiated. The contract for the fabrication/installation of the signs was awarded to Facility Solutions Group (FSG) and they began work on the project. A total of six signs were installed along Carroll Ave. and SH 114 frontage road as part of Phase 1. Phase 2 and 3 is proposed to include a total of fifteen (15) signs to be installed throughout the City based on the priority schedule form the Wayfinding Sign System Plan. Financial Considerations: City Council has appropriated funds not to exceed $125,000 ($75k in HOT funds and $50k in Strategic Initiatives funds) for implementation of Phase 2 and 3 of the Wayfinding Sign System Plan for FY2012.
