City/CISD Athletic Field Management Plan
City/CISD Athletic Field Management Plan Overview
City & CISD are dedicated to serving community
Both facilitate multiple community groups, incl. Southlake’s athletics assocs, to provide programs & services for children in community
Both manage the usage of their athletic field space properties through their own separate agreements (DYF, GSSA, SBA, SCLA, SGSA)
City/CISD Athletic Field Management Plan
City & CISD staff have held several meetings since August to jointly identify the current and long-term issues and challenges w/meeting the athletic field space needs of the community
The main problem is that the City & CISD have handled the allocation of field space independent of one another
City/CISD Athletic Field Management Plan
City & CISD staff have jointly developed a new Athletic Field Management Plan
Goals:
To better manage City & CISD athletic field property
More efficiently meet the growing needs of the community’s athletic programs
City/CISD Athletic Field Management Plan
Moving forward, the City & CISD will jointly allocate and will essentially only make athletic field space available to Southlake’s recognized youth athletic associations (DYF, GSSA,
SBA, SCLA & SGSA)
Field space allocations will be based on the actual current participation numbers
City & CISD staff will work with each association to ensure their program’s field space needs are met efficiently
City/CISD Athletic Field Management Plan
Each and every potential athletic field space owned by City & CISD has been identified and given a unique field ID

City/CISD Athletic Field Management Plan
Prior to each athletic season City & CISD staff will:
Analyze all available City & CISD field space
Analyze each youth athletic association’s participation numbers and corresponding field space requirements
Work with the youth athletic associations to allocate the appropriate field space based on prior year and anticipated upcoming season participation to meet their requirements
City/CISD Athletic Field Management Plan
Once the field space is allocated each season
City/CISD will distribute specific seasonal field allocation credentials
Credential must be worn by all coaches
Will assist City/CISD/Athletic Associations with ensuring that only approved groups are utilizing City & CISD athletic field space properties on their specific assigned dates/times/locations
