MEMBERS AND ALTERNATES PRESENT: Chairperson, Jeane Alexander, Darla
Lattimore, David Baltimore, Matalyn Johnston, Tom Furey, Linda Moore, Linda Forbes
MEMBERS AND ALTERNATES ABSENT: Bill Cosgrove

Agenda Item No.l, Call to Order
The meeting was called to order by Chair Jeanne Alexander at 1:10 p.m.
Agenda Item No. 2. Approval of the 4/11/2000 Minutes
Matalyn Johnston made a motion to approve the minutes. The motion was seconded by David
Baltimore and was approved unanimously.
Agenda Item No. 3. Administrative Comments
Nona reminded the Commission that this would be the last meeting for Matalyn as her term has
expired, and she has chosen to not reapply. The Commission thanked her for her service.
Nona passed out copies of the letter that had been sent to Ron Harper and Steve Polasek
requesting that the abandoned portion of Parkwood Drive be converted to additional parking
spaces for the Senior Activity Center.
As Secretary Darla Lattimore and Nona Whitehead will both be on vacation on June 13`h, and
there were no pressing issues, Darla Lattimore moved that the Commission not meet in June.
The motion was seconded by David Baltimore and approved unanimously.
Agenda Item No. 4. Southlake Seniors Activities
Tom Furey reported on the April activities, including Ennis Bluebonnet trip, sing-a-long and
Friday Fun Night. Tom indicated that the Friday Fun Night program is growing and that people
especially enjoyed the Ennis trip.
Agenda Item No. 5. Metroport Meals on Wheels
Sonja Allen passed out the report for April along with the report on home deliveries. The report
form has been changed so as not to include the take home containers that were discussed last
month. The report shows that the numbers are down somewhat, due to a variety of factors.
Agenda Item No. 6, Discussion of the Annual Report
The draft copy of the Annual Report was discussed with no major changes. A copy will be sent
to City Council along with the Annual Report of the Southlake Seniors Steering Committee.
Agenda Item No. 7, Open Forum.
Alternate Linda Forbes reported that she would absent until fall, due to spending the summer at
their home in Maine.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 1:35 p.m.
