HomeGoods is requesting a variance to Sign Ordinance 704, as amended, to allow an
attached sign that exceeds the allowable width. The store will be located at 200 N. Kimball
Avenue, Ste 228; between the Staples store and Toys -R -Us / Babies -R -Us store. The
location is within the Southlake Corners Development which has an approved conditional
sign permit, however, the permit does not address the standard for attached signs that
requires the sign be located within the middle 75% of the single plane fagade. Therefore,
the Sign Ordinance regulations shall be followed.

November 16, 2010, City Council approved a variance for McAlisters on Consent which
allowed them to exceed allowable area.
February 15, 2011, City Council approved a variance for Toys -R -Us / Babies -R -Us as
presented which allowed them exceed letter height (specifically, the R's) and maximum
width.
