EXECUTIVE
SUMMARY:
Southlake Land Holdings, L.P. is requesting approval of an extension to the expiration
of the plat revision for five (5) lots on 30.018 acres for Forest Park Medical Center at
Southlake (formerly called Southlake Regional Medical Center). The Forest Park
Medical Center site is located at 335 E. State Highway 114 and 440 E. Highland St and
was approved as an “S-P-2” Generalized Site Plan District subdivision.
REQUEST DETAILS:
A plat revision which has not been recorded in the County Plat Records within one year
of the date of approval shall expire. The Plat Revision was approved by City Council
on January 20, 2009. Plat extensions were approved by City Council on December 15,
2009 that extended the validity of the plat for one year until January 20, 2011 and on
January 18, 2011 that extended the validity of the plat for one additional year until

HISTORY:
-A plat for the Brightbill Addition was filed of record prior to annexation into the
City.
-"SF-1A" zoning was placed on a portion of the subject property with approval
of Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance No. 480 on September 19, 1989.
-A zoning change and concept plan from “AG” Agricultural and “SF-1A” Single
Family Residential to “S-P-2” Generalized Site Plan was approved by City
Council on July 17, 2007.
- A plat revision was approved by City Council on November 14, 2008.
- A plat extension was approved by City Council on December 15, 2009 that
extended the validity of the plat revision for one year until January 20, 2011.
- A plat extension was approved by City Council on January 18, 2011 that
extended the validity of the plat revision for one year until January 20, 2012.
STAFF COMMENTS:
Subdivision Ordinance No. 483, Section 4.01I Expiration of Plats:
1. All other plats: A Final Plat, Plat Revision, Amended Plat or a Plat
Showing which has not been recorded in the County Plat Records
within one year of the date of approval shall expire.
2. Extensions: The City Council may extend the expiration date of an
approved plat upon written petition for such extension by the owner
prior to the expiration of the plat but not to exceed one (1) year.
