REGULAR BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING June 27, 2002

EXECUTIVE SESSION: 6:00 P.M.
If a need arises to seek the advice from the City Attorney as to the posted subject matter of this Board of
Adjustment meeting, the issues or matters will be discussed in executive session.
1. Pursuant to Section 551.071, Texas Government Code, the Board may meet in executive
session to consult with the City Attorney regarding matters authorized by Section 551.071,
including items posted on this agenda.
2. Reconvene: Action necessary on items discussed in executive session.

1. Call to Order.
2. Approval of Minutes of the June 13, 2002 Regular Board of Adjustment Meeting.
3. Administrative Comments.
4. Consider: Case ZBA-394, Variance to Ordinance No. 480, Section 34.2 (a) requiring that
accessory buildings having a permanent foundation shall be erected no closer than
ten (10) feet to a property line in the rear yard. The applicant is requesting a
variance to allow construction of a detached garage to encroach three feet into the
required setback being a distance of seven feet off the side property line.

5. Consider: Case ZBA-395, Variance to Ordinance No. 480, Section 11.5 (c) requiring a side
yard setback of not less than twenty (20) feet. The applicant is requesting a variance
to allow construction of an attached porte-cochere to encroach approximately six
feet into the required side setback being a distance of approximately fourteen feet
off the side property line. Public Hearing.
6. Consider: Special Exception Use permit per Ordinance No. 480, Section 44.12 (3), permitting
the construction of accessory buildings or structures of a size or aggregate size
greater than that permitted under the accessory building requirements of the zoning
district in which the property lies and a Variance to Ordinance No. 480, Section
34.2(e) for the construction of an accessory building greater than one story or
fourteen (14) feet in height. The applicant is requesting to construct an accessory
building with approximately three thousand six hundred (3,600) square feet of floor
area with the proposed building having one and one-half (1 '/2 ) stories and a height
of 23'. Public Hearing.
