REGULAR BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING September 25, 2008

EXECUTIVE SESSION: If a need arises to seek the advice from the City Attorney as to the posted
subject matter of this Board of Adjustment meeting, the issues or matters will be discussed in
executive session.
Pursuant to Section 551.071, Texas Government Code, the Board may meet in executive
session to consult with the City Attorney regarding matters authorized by Section 551.071,
including matters posted on this agenda.
2. Reconvene: Action necessary on items discussed in executive session.
REGULAR AGENDA:
ZBA 551, Special Exception Use Permit per Ordinance No. 480, Section 44.12 (7) for
portable buildings. The applicant is requesting to place one (1) portable building at
Carroll Baptist Church for classroom space. The request is being made by the applicant,
Carroll Baptist Church., for property located at 1280 E. Highland Street, being legally
described as Lot 4, F. Throop No. 1511 Addition, and being approximately 5.509 acres.
The current zoning is "CS" Community Service District. This agenda item is being
administratively tabled until the next regularly scheduled Zoning Board of
Adjustment meeting, October 16, 2008. Public Hearing will be held at that time.
2. ZBA552, Special Exception Use Permit per Ordinance No. 480, Section 44.12 (1) for
family quarters. The applicant is requesting to attach one (1) family quarters building to
the existing residence. The request is being made by the applicant, Kazor Custom
Homes, for property located at 1015 Mission Drive, being legally described as Lot 8,
Block 4, Mission Hill Estates Addition, and being approximately 1.152 acres. The current
zoning is "SF1-A" Single Family Residential District. This agenda item is being
administratively tabled until the next regularly scheduled Zoning Board of
Adjustment meeting, October 16, 2008. Public Hearing will be held at that time.
3. ZBA553, Variance to Ordinance No. 480, Section 11.5(d), requiring a rear yard of not
less than forty (40) feet. The applicant is requesting a rear yard setback of ten (10) feet
to build a family quarters. The request is being made by the applicant, Kazor Custom
Homes, for property located at 1015 Mission Drive, being legally described as Lot 8,
Block 4, Mission Hill Estates Addition, and being approximately 1.152 acres. The current
zoning is "SF1-A" Single Family Residential District. This agenda item is being
administratively tabled until the next regularly scheduled Zoning Board of
Adjustment meeting, October 16, 2008. Public Hearing will be held at that time.
