subject matter of this Planning and Zoning Commission meeting, the issues or matters will be

35 Agenda Item No. 3 — Administrative Comments: Ken Baker, Director of Planning & Development
36 Services, noted that there are several upcoming meetings for the Commission. October 5, 2010 will
37 be a joint City Council and Planning & Zoning Commission Work Session starting at 4:30 p.m. and
38 will end before 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 7, 2010 will be a regular Planning & Zoning
39 Commission meeting; Thursday, October 14, 2010 will be a Southlake 2030 Work Session /Charrette
40 to discuss the Parade /Rucker properties; Thursday, October 21, 2010 will be a regular Planning &
41 Zoning Commission meeting; and, Monday, November 8, 2010 will be a Southlake 2030 Economic
42 Development & Tourism Plan and Land Use Plan Joint Committee meeting.

44 In addition, the Planning Department has recently been awarded to awards from the Texas Chapter
45 of the American Planning Association. Southlake has been awarded the Current Planning Award for
46 the Southlake 2030 Wayfinding Signage Plan and the Certification of Achievement in Planning
47 Excellence.

55 Wendi Carlucci, 2000 North Peytonville Avenue, Southlake, Texas; was present and spoke in
56 opposition of this item because there was a lack of sidewalks, public parks and storm sewers.

58 Tim Pillow, 575 Love Henry Court, Southlake, Texas; was present and expressed concern about the
59 current road that is shown to go between the high school and elementary school.

61 Valerie Clark, 755 Randol Mill Avenue, Southlake, Texas; was presented and expressed concern
62 over Randol Mill Avenue narrowing through Southlake.

64 Bob Seebeck, 480 West Highland Street, Southlake, Texas; was present and expressed concern
65 over his agricultural property.
