The property is located at 1501 E. Southlake Boulevard (FM 1709). The Current Zoning 27 is "S-P-1" Detailed Site Plan District. SPIN Neighborhood # 10. The Owner is Carroll Independent 28 School District. The Applicant is Dennis Bishop @ Raines Electric. 29 30 Dennis Bishop, Applicant (Raines Electric) presented this item to the Commission. He introduced 31 Harry Ingalls, Chief Technology Officer (C.I.S.D.) and Steve Lankin, C.I.S.D. Trustee. Harry 32 Ingalls made a brief presentation. 33 34 Dennis Bishop added that the representative from Qaulite was present - Steve Orsack gave a 35 presentation about the lights. Harry Ingalls helped answer some of the questions. We have listened to 16 various city meetings where the size of lettering on a sign has been discussed at length to protect 17 the aesthetics of our lovely city. We also heard City Council turn down the request of a kennel 18 where 1-25 dogs would bark and disturb their neighbors. So why on this issue would we even 19 consider putting up 80+ foot poles, light, noise, minor league teams, etc. which would drive 20 down our property value and quality of living? Please consider the games to be played in a 21 lighted area similar to Dragon Stadium - a place where no neighbors are disturbed." 22 M. They wanted to see a dense bufferyard. He talked about lighting and 17 stated the applicant agreed to install a timer.
