Southlake’s allotted number of votes for a candidate to the Tarrant Appraisal District Board
of Directors.

Board of Directors

The TaxCode provides for the membership of the Board of Directors.
Eachentity located within the county may submit nominees for consideration
Board members are appointed by a vote of the appraisal district taxing units. Each entity
has an allotted number of votes, which is determined by the previous year levy.
The Tarrant County Chief Appraiser has notified the City of Southlake that we are entitled
to cast 47 votes collectively or separately for nominees.
The candidate who receives the highest number of votes will become a member of the
Board of Directors.

47 votes.

This slide illustrates the current membership of the Denton Central Appraisal District. Each
Board member serves a two year term, beginning on January 1 of even-numbered years.
The terms of service for the five (5) elected Directors of the Tarrant Appraisal District expire
December 31, 2011.
