1. Call to Order
Chairman McCauley called the meeting to order at 5:12 p.m.
2. Administrative Items
A. A motion to approve the minutes of the September 21, 2011 meeting was
made by Mike Hutchison and seconded by Chris Schrobilgen, unanimous
approval.
B. Director Last introduced Paul Harty to the members.
C. Chairman McCauley pointed out the future meeting dates: January 18, March
21, May 16
D. Director Last encouraged members to fill out the Citizen Survey and that the
Survey is open until November 30.
E. Director Last encouraged member to respond to e-mail invites for the SBC
meetings.
3. Presentation by Dana Davis, President / CEO of the Southlake Chamber of
Commerce, regarding results from the 2011 on -line Business Survey

Dana Davis presented an overview of the results from the 2011 on -line Business
Survey to members.
4. Discussion of relevant business topics derived from the Business Survey
Members discussed relevant business topics derived from the Business Survey.
5. Discussion regarding communication channels with businesses
Chairman McCauley led a discussion regarding communication channels with
businesses, members had several suggestions.
6. Distribution of results from the Oktoberfest Intercept Survey
Members were provided results from the Oktoberfest Intercept Survey and asked to
direct questions to Director Last or Tourism Marketing Manager Jill Lind.
7. Discussion regarding future meeting topics
A. Director Last recommended a presentation on sales and ad valorem tax
revenue trends by the Director of Finance.
B. Mayor John Terrell would like a presentation on Citizens Survey, what it's
going to be and how it works.
8. Adjournment
A. A motion was made and seconded regarding adjournment, approved
unanimously.
