PROJECT: Sign Variance for Watermere at Southlake
REQUEST: Southlake Watermark Holdings, L.P., is requesting a variance from the Sign
Ordinance No. 704 -E regulations for a temporary sign. The subject property is located
at the southeast corner of West Southlake Boulevard and Watermere Drive and the
address is 2807 West Southlake Boulevard. The applicant is requesting approval of a
one year extension to allow the existing v- shaped development sign that exceeds the
maximum sign height and maximum sign area standards as well as the allowable
duration for this type of sign. The sign is v- shaped (2 sided), 13 feet tall, and 200
square feet in total area. On November 16, 2010, City Council approved a variance for
this sign for a period of one year; requiring the applicant to paint the sign framing
material to a black, wrought -iron type textured finish. The applicant has complied with
the stipulations of that approval. This request does not propose any changes to the
existing sign.

PROPERTY SITUATION: The property address is 2807 West Southlake Boulevard.
HISTORY: On April 18, 2006, City Council approved a variance to allow a development
sign with a height of 15 feet and an area of 160 square feet at this location
for a period of 18 months from installation. This sign was removed in spring
2008.
On April 15, 2008, City Council approved a variance for this sign for a
period of one year.
On May 15, 2009, City Council approved a variance for this sign for a
period of one year.
On November 16, 2010, City Council approved a variance for this sign for a
period of one year; requiring the applicant to paint the sign framing material
to a black, wrought -iron type textured finish.
