1994-10-13 JOINT CITY COUNCIL AND CARROLL SCHOOL BOARD MEETING CARROLL SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL LIBRARY 1501 SOUTHLAKE BOULEVARD OCTOBER 13, 1994 MINUTES COUNCILMEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Gary Fickes; Mayor Pro Tem Jerry Farrier; Deputy Mayor Pro Tem, Jon Michael Franks. Members: Stephen Apple, Michael Richarme, W. Ralph Evans. COUNCILMEMBER ABSENT: Andy Wambsganss STAFF PRESENT: Curtis E. Hawk, City Manager; LouAnn Heath, Director of Finance; Greg Last, Director of Community Development; and, Sandra L. LeGrand, City Secretary SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Judy Gilmore, Chairman; John Rollins, Howard Addison, Rob Glover. SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS ABSENT: Buddy Luce, Warren Davis, and Mike Brown. STAFF PRESENT: Bill Branum, Superintendent. The Joint Meeting was called to order by Mayor Gary Fickes and July Gilmore, at 6:00 p.m. Agenda Item #2, Joint Utilization for Facilities A brief discussion was held regarding Joint Utilization for Facilities. Agenda Item #3. Executive Session Mayor Fickes advised that Council would be going into executive session pursuant to Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code, Section 551.072, of the Open Meetings Act to discuss the purchase, exchange, lease or sale of real property. Council and School Board adjourned into executive session at 6:05 p.m. Council and School Board returned to open session at 6:50 p.m. Joint City Council /School Board Meeting Minutes October 13, 1994 page two Agenda Item #4. Action Necessary /Executive Session Motion was made that City Council will continue to follow along the lines of what was discussed during the executive session. Motion: Franks Second: Richarme Ayes: Franks, Richarme, Farrier, Evans, Apple, Fickes Nays: None Approved: 6 -0 vote Motion was made that the School Board will continue with discussions as held in executive session. Motion: Addison Second: Glover Ayes: Addison, Glover, Rollins, Gilmore Nays: None Approved: 4 -0 vote Agenda Item #5.
