I am sending this email to express my STRONG oppostion to the changes proposed in ordinance 1012 of
the 2030 land use plan in Southlake.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend the upcoming public council meeting on September 20th, but wish
for Juergen Strunk to speak on my behalf.

RE: 2030 Plan: Zoning change proposal wrt Strunk and Mendez properties
Ken,
As formal follow -up to our discussion by phone last week, please know that Foxborough residents continue
to oppose any zone or land use changes that would place anything other than "medium density residential"
in close proximity to our unique neighborhood.
You undoubtedly recall the groundswell of objection only a few years ago when — shortly after Dr. Mendez
had promised solely residential development in exchange for Foxborough's support for his building a
harmonious, one story doctor's office to abut us on 1709 -- he (developer Mendez) turned around and
attempted to champion a senior citizen's facility on or near the very same property at issue today.
Then as now, any change to allow "commercial" development would be an abhorrent breech of the city's
published plan to protect residential quality via application of only those uses involving minimum traffic and
like -kind construction next to Foxborough. Our purchase decisions relied on the city's integrity in that
commitment. Today our neighborhood's character and value hinges on your defeat of any proposal to
commercialize abutting properties.
The Strunk Family plats and those adjoining and including Carroll footage up to Southview should continue
to be available only to medium density uses, i.e., residential and small office — in keeping with the most
current City Plan. Please convey these thoughts to Council. We join Juergen Strunk's family in favoring
retention of medium density residential /office with no commercial allowances.
Respectfully yours,

Subject: changes to the 2030 land use plan
Dear City Secretary and Director of Planning,
My husband and I live at 1000 Ownby Ln., in the Southview subdivision,
and were surprised to learn that the city council is considering
changing the area including the land behind our house from medium
density residential to office commercial. We of course oppose such a
change because the development of more commercial property will
negatively impact our property value.
We tried unsuccessfully to sell our home earlier this year. One of
the greatest barriers we encountered was concern over the potential
and uncertain use of land behind our home. Potential buyers feared
the development of commercial property. We hope the city, now and in
the future will only allow development of residential property on the
land.
Respectfully,
Stacey Kirkpatrick
