1. Call to order. Invocation.
2. A. Executive Session: Pursuant to the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551,
Texas Government Code Sections 551.071, 551.072, 551.073, 551.074,
551.075, 551.076. Refer to posted list attached hereto and incorporated
herein. Executive session will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

3. Approval of the Minutes of the Regular City Council meeting held on June 2,
1998 and the Special City Council meeting held on June 9, 1998.

CONSENT AGENDA
All items listed below are considered to be routine by the City Council and will be
enacted with one motion. There will be no separate discussion of items unless a
Councilmember or citizen so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the
general order of business and considered in its normal sequence.
5. Consider:
A. Authorization to advertise for bids for striping of Southridge Lakes
Parkway, Byron Nelson Parkway, and the widening of a 425 ft. section of
the southbound lanes of Byron Nelson Parkway immediately south of
Northwood Trail.

B. Authorize the Mayor to enter into a professional services agreement with
Teague Nall and Perkins for development of a concept plan for the Public
Works Facility.
C. Authorize the Mayor to enter into a professional services agreement with
Cheatham and Associates for the design of road and sewer improvements
to Pine Drive and Lilac Lane.
D. Authorize the Mayor to enter into a professional services agreement with
Cheatham and Associates for the design of water and sewer utility
relocation at Kimball Avenue and S.H. 114.
E. Authorize the Mayor to enter into a contract with the Texas Parks and
Wildlife Department for grant assistance for Bob Jones Park.
F. Resolution No. 98 -51, Authorize the City Manager to enter into all
necessary agreements with the Employees Retirement System (ERS) to
extend Medicare benefits to all eligible employees hired before April,
1986, by holding a referendum to accept/decline this benefit for each
individual employee.

Storage of Plants and other Greenery as part of a retail operation per
Zoning Ordinance No. 480, Section 45.1 (29) on property legally
described as Lot 2, Block 1, Farrar Addition, an addition to the City of
Southlake, Tarrant County, Texas, according to the plat recorded in
Cabinet A, Slide 1975, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and being
approximately 23.003 acres. Location: South of State Highway 114,
north of East Southlake Boulevard (F.M. 1709), and west of North
Kimball Avenue. Current zoning is "C -3" General Commercial District.

Table Item H. Ordinance No. 480 -282, 1st reading, (ZA 98 -052), Rezoning on property
legally described as Tract 6D situated in the Thomas M. Hood Survey,
Abstract No. 706, and being approximately 3.046 acres. Location: West
side of North White Chapel Boulevard approximately 240' south of
Countryside Court. Current zoning is "AG" Agricultural District, with a

Plan for Pine Meadow Estates, on property legally described as being

The City Council may conduct a private consultation with its attorney when the City
Council seeks the advice of its attorney about pending and contemplated litigation, or a

The City Council may conduct a closed meeting to deliberate a negotiated contract for a
prospective gift or donation to the City.
SECTION 551.074 DELIBERATION REGARDING PERSONNEL MATTERS
The City Council may deliberate the appointments, employment, evaluation,
reassignment, duties, discipline or dismissal of public officers, including the City
Manager, City Secretary, City Attorney, and City Boards and Commission members. A
