Ralph Evans; Deputy Mayor Pro Tem David Harris. Members: Scott Martin, Gary Fawks, and Pamela Muller. STAFF PRESENT: Curtis Hawk, City Manager; Sham Yelverton, Assistant City Manager; Bob Whitehead, Director of Public Works; Karen Gandy, Zoning Administrator; Chuck Bloomberg, Plans Examiner; Greg Last, Director of Community Development; Paul Ward, Chief Building Official; Wayne Olson, City Attorney; and, Sandra L. LeGrand, City Secretary. ELECTION OFFICIALS PRESENT: Aloha Payne, Election Judge and Karen Cienki, Alternate Election Judge. Agenda Item #1, Call to Order Mayor Rick Stacy called the Special City Council meeting to order, indicating the purpose of the meeting is to officially canvass the results of the May 2, 1998 General and Special Elections. The meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m. Agenda Item #2, Resolution No. 98 -31, Canvassing the Returns of the May 2, 1998 Elections Resolution No. 98 -31, Canvassing the returns and declaring the results of the General and Special elections held on May 2, 1998 was approved, naming Ronnie Kendall to the position of Councilmember Place 3 for a term to expire in 2001; Debra Edmondson to the position of Councilmember Place 4 for a term to expire in 2001; Gary Fawks, to the position of Councilmember 5 for a term to expire in 2001; and, Brad Bradley as Judge of Municipal Court, for a term to expire in 2001. Resolution No. 98 -31 also noted the results of the seven (7) propositions in the Charter Amendment election. Motion: Harris Second: Evans Ayes: Harris, Evans, Fawks, Muller, Martin, Stacy Nays: None Approved: 6 -0 vote Mayor Stacy thanked the election judge and alternate judge for their excellent work in carrying out the election process. A copy of Resolution No. 98 -31 is hereby attached to the minutes of this meeting.
