The applicant is requesting a variance to allow wood columns to be used for the pergolas. Zoning Ordinance No. 480, Section 43.9(c)2(d) requires trash receptacles to be screened by a minimum eight foot solid masonry screen with similar materials to the principle structure. The applicant is requesting a variance to the height requirement to allow the existing height of approximately 6.5 – 7 feet.
