PROJECT: Master Sign Plan for Carillon for Temporary Signs
REQUEST: Hines is requesting approval of a Master Sign Plan for the Carillon development
for several temporary signs, including entry signs, directional signs, signs that
identify future development, and residential real estate signs. The signs will be
displayed during the sales period for the development, which is estimated to be
five to seven years. All signs are proposed on private property and no signs will
be placed in the public right of way.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
OWNER /APPLICANT: Hines Southlake Land LP
PROPERTY SITUATION: The property is located at the northeast corner of E. S.H. 114 and
N. White Chapel Blvd.
HISTORY: April 5, 2011 — Approval for a Master Sign Plan for two permanent
entry feature signs was approved (MSP11 -001). One sign will be
located at the northeast corner of E. S.H. 114 and N. White Chapel
Blvd. and the other sign will be located at the northeast corner of N.
White Chapel Blvd. and Kirkwood Blvd.
July 6, 2010 — Approval for a temporary sign for the Carillon office
development in the 200 block of E. S.H. 114 was extended for two
years by City Council (SV10 -011). This sign will expire on July 15,
2012.
July 15, 2008 - A temporary sign for the Carillon office development
in the 200 block of E. S.H. 114 was approved by City Council for a
period of two years (SP08 -144).

STAFF COMMENTS: The site plan and further sign information are under Attachment `C'
of this staff report.
REQUEST: The applicant is requesting approval of a Master Sign Plan. Please
refer to the attached sign information (Attachment C) for more sign
details.
