Per Section 5.20 of the Southlake City Charter, The
City Council shall by ordinance appoint one or more
judges of the Municipal Court.
The current Presiding Municipal Judge for the City
of Southlake has served since July 2001.
• Her current agreement expires on July 17, 2011.

• $3,500 per month with limited benefits.

Next Steps
• If passed, a second reading will be scheduled for
Tuesday, June 21, 2011.
• Once appointed, the Municipal Court Judge must
file an:
o Oath of Office; and
o Statement of Appointed Officer with the City
Secretary's Office.
