• Contractor owns /maintains
equipment
• Guarantees rate of $2.40 /gal for 12-
months
• Estimated annual cost of $87,600.00
Since the construction of the Shady Lane and Lonesome Dove Sanitary Sewer Lift
Stations in 2000, the city has spent approximately $85,000 per year on chemical
treatment to prevent the production of hydrogen sulfide from affecting the residents
of Kirkwood Hollow. Premier Chemicals has been successfully providing this
service for Southlake and the Trinity River Authority since 2006. Prior to that time,
other products had produced only marginal success. Under this agreement Premier
Chemicals will maintain their equipment on site provide chemical treatment for
$2.40 a gallon for the next twelve months. Southlake uses about 100 gallons of
product per day bringing our annual total to about $87,600

Funding for odor control treatment at the two lift stations is provided in the fiscal
year 2011 operating budget of the Sewer Division. Premier Chemicals is the patent
holder of this waste water treatment technology.
