24-year veteran of Southlake DPS
Served in many capacities for both Fire and Police Services including Fire Chief and Police Chief – not many can say that!
Graduate of the FBI National Academy and numerous police training courses around the country and recently received his executive MBA
Past president of the Southlake Rotary Club
Served as an assessor for the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies
Served as the President of the Texas Association of Law Enforcement Planners in 2001
Some accomplishments made by the organization during his tenure are:
Completion of the DPS Headquarters project.
Consolidation of our jail and dispatch services with Keller and Colleyville.
Development and implementation of a career development guide which has allowed command staff and supervisors to improve their knowledge, skills and abilities.
Achievement of international accredited status for both police and fire services.
High citizen satisfaction ratings of our public safety services.
Public/private partnership to solve quality of life issues in Town Square.
Regional cooperative efforts to improve the safety and security of community.
Recognized as Citizen of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce.
