Background Information
• City Council awarded original contract to
Dean Electric, Inc. for construction of
Bicentennial Park Phase I improvements
— October 20, 2009
• Subsequent Change Orders No. 1 -15
have been issued for additional
improvements to the Park

Background Information
These additional improvements were not part of
the original design for Phase I
• Several needs /opportunities arose where staff
deemed it appropriate to initiate the additional
improvements during Phase I construction
— ( street light poles replaced along park boulevard at the new FM 1709
entrance to match the other Phase I aesthetic improvements
— While the six new tennis courts were under construction, we had the
contractor resurface (5) existingq courts up for resurfacing during FY
2010 as part of our annual courf resurfacing program (savings)
— Batting ca es improvements - SPDC Matching Funds project w/ SBA
approved Ry CC
— Change Order No. 15 recommended to extend the irrigation system to
include the Shady Oaks Drive park frontage
