1987-07-16 CITY OF SOUTHLAKE PARK AND RECREATION BOARD MEETING ® JULY 16, 1987 Present: James Arnold, Larry Goldstein, Randy Stacy (new appointed member), Terry Mitchell, Aloha Payne, Deborah McGrath, Bill LeGrand Absent: Phillip Bressinck, Randy Robertson, Tom Walker PARK Discussion ensued on naming the building at the Southlake Park. BUILDING: It was decided that it would be called SOUTHLAKE CIVIC CENTER and that the Park and Rec Board meetings would be held there from now on. Lights are being installed shortly. PARK A memo was received from Lloyd Latta on ground rules for the USAGE: Park usage. Discussion followed. - - Southlake non - profit organizations need to schedule dates thru the City Offices with no users fee. - - Southlake residents may schedule dates to reserve the Civic Center thru the City Offices. - -$15 registration fee with City Offices C -- $50 deposit will be taken and returned if the premises are left as were - -List of what groups to use the facilities are responsible for. - - Deposit fee is set on a 6 hour user limit. Time must be reserved and specific. FIELD USAGE: -- Any organization outside of Southlake who want to use the park facilities need to get a Southlake organization to sponsor them. - -Fees for baseball will be set on the particular group - - $15 for non - profit organization - - $25 for group - -A separate fee will be set up with the City Offices for the use of the lights. - -If a group does not schedule field in advance they run into the risk in losing the field. - -A suggestion was made to put timers on the lights for the baseball diamonds and the tennis courts.
