The City of Southlake Parks Commission meeting was called to order by Co- Chairperson
Larry Goldstein. Members attending were Ann Barnes, Sue McNutt, Randy Robertson, and
Bethann Scratchard. Not in attendance were Steve Bender, Terry Mitchell, and Tom Walker.
Philip Bressinck has resigned from this Commission. Also present was Curtis Hawk,
Southlake City Manager.
The minutes of the January 30th meeting were approved.
Old Business
Even though Mr. Bressinck has resigned, he will continue to work with Bill Strange of
E- Systems regarding the land that adjoins Bicentenial Park. A lease request was being
processed by Mr. Strange as of February 1, 1989.
The Southlake Baseball Association did not send a representative to this meeting. We
will send a letter to the Baseball Association about the Parks Commission persuing the
idea of signs sponsored by businesses for the baseball season for Bicentenial Park. Mr.
Goldstein will check the cost of signs and report back to us at the next meeting.
The schedule for the next season of the Men's Basketball League will be presented to
the City Council by Mr. Robertson on February 21, 1989. If the Council approves the
schedule the season will run from February 22 through April 19, 1989.

Larry Goldstein - Chairperson
Randy Robertson - Vice- Chairperson
Bethann Scratchard - Secretary
