1. Call to Order
Chairman Frank Bliss called the meeting to order at 5:07 p.m.
2. Administrative Items
A. A motion to approve the minutes of the March 23, 2011 meeting was made by
Mike Hutchinson and seconded by Mike Tesoriero, unanimous approval.
B. Director Last pointed out the future meeting dates: July 20, Sept. 21, and Nov.
16.
C. Business - related announcements:
1. Chamber of Commerce President Dana Davis briefed the members
regarding the upcoming Southlake Chamber's "New Member Month"
program.
3. Presentation by Blaine Nelson, Managing Partner for Deloitte LLP, regarding
their campus in Westlake.
Blaine Nelson presented an overview of Deloitte's Westlake campus.

4. Presentation over viewing the website www.SouthlakeBusinesses.com
maintained by the Department of Economic Development & Tourism
Director Last gave a presentation on how to find information on all businesses in
Southlake via www.SouthlakeBusinesses.com. He provided current data sheets to
all members who have a business in Southlake and showed them how to update the
information utilizing on on -line data entry function.
5. Briefing on the 2011 Business Retention & Expansion (BRE) Survey
Dana Davis briefed the members on the status of the BRE Survey, which is to be
mailed out next week to over 1,600 businesses in Southlake.
6. Briefing on the results of the "Intercept Survey" during the recent Art in the
Square event
Jill Lind handed out a summary of the Intercept Survey for the 2011 Art in the Square
event and briefed the members on highlights of the survey.
7. Open Discussion
A. Discussion on topics of interest to the SBC members:
1. Dana briefed the members on the outcome of the Southlake Chamber of
Commerce Golf Tourney that was held on May 16, 2011.
2. Clayton Reed and Councilmember Jeff Wang briefed the members on
the outcome of the Japan Relief benefit concert that was held on May 7,
2011.
8. Adjournment
A. A motion was made and seconded regarding adjournment, approved
unanimously.
