Background Information
• Excess ROW can be abandoned
• Increased distance from existing building
to proposed ROW line
The City determined that the excess right of way could be abandoned and the property
ceded back to the adjacent property owner. In addition, this would increase the distance of
the right of line from the corner existing elementary school building.
The City would also work with the property owner in the future to obtain a drainage
easement if needed when the intersection was improved in the future.
