Amendments required occasionally to adopt revised Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs)
Required by FEMA for continuing participation in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP)
Ordinance 641-B
Flood Insurance available only through NFIP and only to residents and property owners in participating communities
Southlake currently has 157 flood insurance policies in effect through NFIP with a total insured value of $48,161,700
Ordinance Revisions
Adopts new FIRMs, which will become effective April 18, 2011.
FIRMs for Denton County were revised to reflect updated topographic information
FIRMs for Tarrant County were revised September 25, 2009 and adopted by the City in September of 2009
