Item 4IItem 4I Approve Addendum A to the North Park Professional Services Agreement w/ Schrickel Rollins and Associates, Inc. for $71,300 Chris Tribble Director of Community Services Requested Action City Council approval of Addendum A to the PSA with SRA in the amount of $71,300 Addendum A is necessary for SRA to complete the scope of services (engineering, design and construction observation) for North Park Background Multiple public meetings held since 2009 SPIN Individual Residents & HOA Planning & Zoning Parks Board SPDC City Council During Site Plan approval process, scope of project and corresponding construction budget expanded significantly Staff worked w/SRA to finalize concept design and construction documents, and to bid the project Background Original SRA Basic Services Fee of $413,700 approved in PSA June 2009 Site Plan Approval process for the project increased scope of the project and corresponding construction budget significantly Terms of the PSA states Basic Services Fee to be increased or decreased proportionally if the budget authorized by the City is different from the budgeted amount listed in PSA Project Scope/Construction Cost Increase Careful consideration of impact on neighbors Coordinate planning with the DPS site Provide attractive amenities that increase property values North Park Objectives Background: Citizen Input / Board Review Community Input and Our Response Community Input and Our Response Community Input and Our Response Additional Information Components that would have been constructed with DPS Facility are included in the North Park Project – SRA worked w/Cheatham & Assoc. Required entry drive, decel lane, sidewalk at Dove Road, drainage improvements, outfall structures, pond wall, excavation, site grading Dean Construction, CMR for North Park, will construct these elements during park construction Financial Considerations Additional Information Staff recommends approval of Addendum A to the PSA SPDC and Parks Board will consider at Joint SPDC/Parks Board meeting February 15, 2011 Questions?
