Item 4DItem 4D Purchase of Water Line Easement Requested Action Approve the purchase of water line easements for TW King 30” water line from property located on the south side of SH114 from proposed F.M. 1938 to Solana Blvd. Location HWY 114 30” Water line – Segment E TW King Rd Solana Blvd Proposed F.M. 1938 Location Construction of Segments A and F is complete Background Information Design Phase February 2007 – Council awarded Professional Services Agreement (PSA) to Freese and Nichols, Inc. (FNI) for route analysis (2 viable routes identified) December 2007 – Council awarded PSA to FNI for design of Segments A and F (common to both routes) March 2009 – Council awarded PSA to FNI for design of Segments B, C, D, and E Construction Phase February 2009 – Council awarded construction contract to Circle C Construction for the construction of Segments A and F (completed July 2010) Background Information City of Southlake currently purchases water from City of Fort Worth on wholesale basis Water master plan includes a new transmission line to supply water directly to TW King Pump which feeds north side of city Segments A and F were common to both routes evaluated – construction was completed in July of 2010 Financial Consideration Permanent Water Line easements are required along two tracts of land currently owned by Maquire Partners-Solana Land, L.P.
