Background Information
Design Phase
February 2007 – Council awarded Professional Services Agreement (PSA) to Freese and Nichols, Inc. (FNI) for route analysis (2 viable routes identified)
December 2007 – Council awarded PSA to FNI for design of Segments A and F (common to both routes)
March 2009 – Council awarded PSA to FNI for design of Segments B, C, D, and E
Construction Phase
February 2009 – Council awarded construction contract to Circle C Construction for the construction of Segments A and F (completed July 2010)
Background Information
City of Southlake currently purchases water from City of Fort Worth on wholesale basis
Water master plan includes a new transmission line to supply water directly to TW King Pump which feeds north side of city
Segments A and F were common to both routes evaluated – construction was completed in July of 2010
Financial Consideration
Permanent Water Line easements are required along two tracts of land currently owned by Maquire Partners-Solana Land, L.P.

Additional Information
Temporary construction easement is leased for a period of twelve (12) months for both Tract 1 and 2
If construction extends past the initial twelve (12) period, the City of Southlake may extend the lease twice in twelve (12) month increments
The City of Southlake has agreed to allow an overlapping gas pipeline easement within the 30’ permanent water line easement
