Blagg Assistant City Manager Presentation Overview Strategic Link Background and Timeline Review Arts Council Recommended Artists and Concepts Recommendation Background Information The City of Southlake’s CIP has funded the construction of four roundabouts, including art, throughout the City The City of Southlake released a national call to artists in April of this year for Art to be placed in four roundabouts. Thirty five artists responded, and at the May Arts Council meeting it was narrowed to seven. The seven remaining artists were asked to provide specific concepts for the Roundabouts. Background Information The Arts Council Artists selection subcommittee, along with Council members Zito, Morris and Muller reviewed the artist’s concepts and then made recommendation to the full Arts Council of four artists. The Arts Council recommended four artists to the City Council.
