•The code also added CO Detectors in all houses that have either fuel fired (natural
gas) appliances or have an attached garage.
•The 2009 IRC as adopted by the ICC membership requires sprinklering of all new
dwellings, but the Texas legislature passed a new law stating cities may not adopt a
new ordinance requiring sprinklers. The law does permit cities to continue to enforce
an ordinance on the books prior to January 1, 2009.

Soil Stockpiles
• General. Soil Stockpile management procedures and practices shall bg
designed and maintained as to eliminate or significantly reduce any potentia
air or storm water pollution. This section is to apply to soil stockpiles whict
are intended to remain for an indefinite period after the issuance of tM
Certificate of Occupancy.
• Exception: Any requirement of this section may be waived as necessary bl.

• Limitations. Any single soil stockpile shall meet the following requirements:
