Item 6H (2)Thank You Mr. Chairman, members of the Commission, the following is a request by the City of Southlake Community Services Department for a specific use permit to allow a mass gathering at Southlake Town Square on February 5, 2011 for an event being named called Southlake Tailgate. The event is planned to be held on Saturday, February 5, 2011 from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m.; • Anticipated attendance of up to 10,000 people; The event will take place in the Grand Avenue area in & around Frank Cornish Park in Southlake Town Square; The event will feature The Ticket sports radio station; • Live music will be held with multiple performers; Local restaurants will have tents set up for the sale of food and beverages; Alcoholic beverages will be sold throughout the event area only; • Department of Public Safety will have a mobile station set up with first aid available; • Multiple football themed games will be set up throughout the even area; - • And, tailgating for vehicles will be permitted at designated locations of specific parking lots adjacent to the main event area.
