SOUTHLAKE Item 4D Approve Change Order No. 3 with Barson Utilities for the water and sanitary sewer relocations on FM1709 for the median and deceleration lane Integrity Innovation project in the amount of $40,177.80 Accountability Commitment to Excellence Teamwork The FM1709 Median and deceleration lane project spans the entire length of Southlake Blvd. from Pearson Lane to Commerce Street. The remaining utility work to be completed by Barson Utilities are the relocations of the 20-inch water line at Jellico West and Jellico East. Also included in this change order is the emergency repair of the 20-inch water line at the intersection of Southlake Blvd. and Shady Oaks Drive. VA ans and Deceleration Lanes Change Order No. 3 includes: — includes the installation of a 6-ft wrought iron fence along Southlake Boulevard. — the cost for repair of the 20-inch water line along the north side of Southlake Boulevard at Shady Oaks and the addition of a 20" valve. © Ciry OF SOUTHLAKE The total amount of Change Order No. 3 is $40,177.80. This will increase the total contract amount to $591,558.05. Funds for installation of the fence are currently available from the 1999 Traffic Management Bond in conjunction with the deceleration lane project. Funds for the repair of the 20-inch water line are available in the Utility Fund for operations. The relocation of the existing water and sanitary sewer lines and construction of the right turn deceleration lanes along Southlake Boulevard (FM 1709) links to the city's strategy map relative to the focus areas of Mobility, Infrastructure and Performance Management and Service Delivery. The specific corporate objectives that are met by the water and sanitary sewer lines relocation and construction of the right turn deceleration lanes include: Providing high quality customer service, investing to provide and maintain high quality public assets, and providing travel convenience within city and region.
