Background
• Bicentennial Phase 1 includes 2 new batting cages
• Site plan approval relocated cages next to 4 existing
• SBA desires to improve the existing & new cages
— Concrete surfacing, artificial turf & electric
• SBA requests $42,269 in Matching Funds (50 %)
• Contractor is Dean Construction

1) Original concept for the Bicentennial Park Phase I improvements included two (2) new
batting cages. Recall the batting cages were relocated near four (4) existing batting
cages due to noise issues and were designed to match existing style.
2) SBA would like to improve the new and existing batting cages to include concrete
surfaces, artificial turf add electrical power
3) If SPDC matching funds approved, the matching funds will pay half of overall
improvement cost of $84,538
