Demonstration
Please demonstrate that the followinq conditions are applicable to the requested sign
variance:
That a literal enforcement of the sign regulation will crate an unnecessary hardship or
practical difficulty on the applicant,
Strict enforcement of the signage regulation would make the
signs difficult to read from Southlake Boulevard. Further,
strict enforcement would prevent proper lighting of the signs
at night.
2. That the situation causing the unnecessary hardship or practical difficulty is unique to the
affected property and is not self imposed.
Part of the practical difficulty stems from the length of
the hospital tenant name — in particular, Harris Methodist
Southlake Center for Diagnostics & Surgery. Any alteration
of the name would violate the hospital's /identity
standards.
3. That the variance will not injure and will be wholly compatible with the use and permitted
development of adjacent properties.
The variance will allow the signs to look appropriate for
typical medical use.
4. That the variance will be in harmony with the spirit and purpose of the sign ordinance.
Granting of this variance will allow us to provide tasteful,
legible signage that remains in good repair, as is the purpose
of the sign ordinance.
