Item 5ACity of Southlake CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION TOWN HALL, TRAINING ROOMS 3C AND 3D JULY 28, 2004 MINUTES CITY COUNCIL PRESENT Mayor Andy Wambsganss, Mayor Pro Tern Keith Shankland, Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Carolyn Morris, and Councilmembers: Gregory Jones, Virginia M. Muzyka, and John Terrell. CITY COUNCIL ABSENT None. STAFF PRESENT City Manager Billy Campbell, Assistant City Manager Shana Yelverton, Community Services Director Malcolm Jackson, Finance Director Sharen Elam, Director of Economic Development Greg Last, Director of Human Resources Kevin Hugman, Director of Public Safety Rick Black, Interim Planning Director /Senior Planner Ken Baker, Senior Planner Dennis Killough, Director of Public Works Pedram Farahnak, Manager of Technical Services Gary Gregg, Audio Visual Systems Technician Pam Jordan, and City Secretary Lori Farwell. Agenda Item No. 1, Call to Order Mayor Wambsganss called the meeting to order at 7:33 p.m. Agenda Item No. 2, Executive Session. Mayor Wambsganss announced that the City Council would be going into Executive Session pursuant to the Texas Government Code, Section 551.087, deliberation regarding economic development negotiations. City Council adjourned for Executive Session at 7:33 p.m. Executive Session began at 7:40 p.m. and ended at 8:23 p.m. Mayor Wambsganss called the meeting back to order at 8:30 p.m. There was no action resulting from the Executive Session. City Manager Campbell welcomed Council and guests. Agenda Item No. 3, Discussion: Southlake Town Square Development Brian Stebbins of Cooper & Stebbins made a presentation to City Council. Mr. Stebbins briefly discussed the Brownstone development and the various parks within Town Square. Mr. Stebbins led a detailed presentation and discussion regarding the development of the Grand Avenue District. Mr. Stebbins addressed Council's questions. No action was taken by Council on this item. Agenda Item No. 4, Adjournment. The Mayor adjourned the work session at 10:15 p.m. *An audio recording of this meeting will he permanently retained in the City Secretary's Office.
