Subject: Ordinance No. 867, 1 st reading - Changing the Street Name of Pin Oak
Circle (formerly Oak Lane North and Oak Lane South) to Tuscan Ridge
Circle.
Action Requested: Adopt ordinance 867, changing the street name of Pin Oak Circle to
Tuscan Ridge Circle.
Back Ground
Information: This street abuts the property formerly known as Oak Lane mobile home
park that is currently under going redevelopment for single family
detached residential construction. The City changed the street name from
Oak Lane North and Oak Lane South to Pin Oak Circle in January of 2003
due to another street in the City having a similar name. The developer of
this property has requested that the name be changed for marketing
purposes.
Financial
Considerations: None to the City. The developer will pay for the new street signs.

Board Review: None.
Legal Review: The original street name change ordinance was drafted by the City
Attorney.
Alternatives: Approve it or deny it.

Dear Mr. Thornas'
On behalf of Southlake Phoenix Homes, Ltd., we would like to request a street name change for
the street that runs through the Stafford Hill Addition in Southlake. The street is currently named
Pin Oak Circle. We are requesting a street name change from Pin Oak Circle to Tuscan Ridge
Circle. Attached is a copy of the Amended plat for Stafford Hill Addition as submitted to the city
on March 3, 2004. Upon approval ol`this street name change and issuance of the appropriate City
Ordinance, we will amend this plat to reference the new street name ordinance number. A check
for $100.00 for processing fees, will he submitted by Tom Matthews of Southlake Phoenix
Homes. Ltd..

ORDINANCE NO. 867
AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAME OF ONE STREETS
LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY PRESENTLY KNOWN AS
"PIN OAK CIRCLE ", EAST OF RANDOL MILL AVENUE,
NORTH OF SLEEPY HOLLOW AND SOUTH OF REGAL
OAKS DRIVE TO "TUSCAN RIDGE CIRCLE ", FURTHER
DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "A "; PROVIDING A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE
REPEAL OF INCONSISTENT ORDINANCES.
WHEREAS, a change in the name of one street located within the City of Southlake,
Texas (the "City "), presently known as "Pin Oak Circle ", located East of Randol Mill Avenue,
north of Sleepy Hollow and south of Regal Oaks Drive to "Tuscan Ridge Circle" has been
requested by the City of Southlake; and
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council to hereby officially change the name
of such streets as requested.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE:
Section 1. That all of the above premises are found to be true and correct and are
incorporated into the body of this Ordinance as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the name of the portion of the streets located within the City presently
known as "Pin Oak Circle" East of Randol Mill Avenue, north of Sleepy Hollow and south of
Regal Oaks Drive as described in Exhibit "A ", is hereby officially changed to "Tuscan Ridge
Circle ".
Section 3. If any section, article, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word in this
ordinance, or application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid or
unconstitutional by a Court of competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect the validity of
the remaining portions of this ordinance; and the City Council hereby declares it would have
passed such remaining portions of the ordinance despite such invalidity, which remaining
portions shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent or in conflict with the
provisions of this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed to the extent of the inconsistency or
conflict.
