Item 4A2Elizabeth B. (Beth) Yurphy has been a resident of Southlake since
1992. She competed in rodeos and pageants throughout her high school
years and has recently added the title Miss Rodeo Texas to her
achievements; and,
WhereaS, Beth has always Coved horses and Learned to side them at the age of 10 at Ride
with Pride, Inc., in Southlake under the tutelage of Doreen Bruton.
WhereaS, Beth has achieved such honors as being Pro -Touth Rodeo Association Champion
Barrel Racer, Miss Rodeo Pioneer Days in 1998, Queen of the gVorth 7e,�as State Fair and
Rodeo in 2000, Miss (Fort North Stockyards in 2001, and was crowned Miss Rodeo 7eyas on
,dune 24, 2005. As Miss Rodeo 7eyas, Beth will appear at rodeos, give speeches, and ride in
parades; and,
WhereaS, Beth will represent the great State of 7elcas as she competes in December in Las
Vegas for the Miss Rodeo America title. As reigning Miss Rodeo Texas, she plans to focus on
educating children about rodeo and encouraging them to get involved in the sport. She hopes to
encourage young girls to reach theirgoals and follow their dreams; and,
