The slope of the ground make this sign impossible to see when driving East bound. Our property is unique to this situation. 2. That the situation causing the unnecessary hardship or practical difficulty is unique to the affected property and is not self imposed. You can tell by driving FM 1709 that our sign is more difficult to see than other signs at the same height. 3. That the variance will not injure and will be wholly compatible with the use and permitted development of adjacent properties. The increased height we are requesting is simply for view purposes and we plan to comply with the masonry surround requirements. 4. That the variance will be in harmony with the spirit and purpose of the sign ordinance. The whole purpose of a sign ordinance is to create uniform look and bring fairness to competing business, not create a hardship on a particular business. Case No. SP 05 -176 Attachment E Page 1
