We want to thank all of our sponsors for their support of the Southlake Public Library's
Summer Reading Club for 2005. We estimate having at least 1,500 elementary age children
from the city of Southlake participating in the program this year, nearly a 200% increase over
2003.
Services:
• E -Audio Books for MP3 players available at the end of June: The Library will provide
audio books that can be downloaded from a location on our website. There will be over 600
book titles available including classics and learning language files. One simply goes to the site,
picks the book or material they want and then downloads it to their computer and then to their
MP3 player. The titles will also be in the Library Catalog, and will have a link in our catalog to
the download site. It is an easy way to listen to an Audio book and an excellent way for us to
provide over 600 titles that can all be accessed by any number of our customers at any point in
time.
Visitor Stats:
• Checkouts: The Library experienced a 105% increase in circulation year to date over a two year
period.
