Upcoming events
• Summer Reading Club The Summer Reading Club is a program that provides children with
a chance to read for enjoyment or for credit through the summer. Youth read a certain number
of hours and receive incentives from the Library along the way. We provide many interesting
programs, and good healthy entertainment throughout the summer. The program begins June 7
and runs through July 30 Close to 1200 youth participated last year.
• Bluebonnet Books Program The Bluebonnet Books Program is Award books that were
chosen by the Texas State Library for children in Texas to read. The Library staff read a
number of the books aloud. The Library in conjunction with CISD reads the Bluebonnet books

once a week beginning June 7 through July 29.
