Item 9ARESOLUTION NO. 05 -012 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, APPOINTING A REPRESENTATIVE TO THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION TO FILL THE UNEXPIRED TERM OF WILLIAM "BILL" VAUGHAN; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, a Home Rule Charter of the City of Southlake, Texas, was approved by the voters in a duly called Charter election on April 4, 1987; and, WHEREAS, in the Home Rule Charter, Chapter XI concerns Planning and Zoning, and Section 11.03 allows for appointment for two (2) year terms on the commission; and, WHEREAS, the unexpired term of William "Bill" Vaughan is vacant until May 2005 due to his resignation on February 16, 2005; now, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT: Section 1. All of the findings in the preamble are found to be true and correct and the City Council hereby incorporates said findings into the body of this resolution as if copied in their entirety. Section 2. The City Council hereby appoints the following person to the Planning and Zoning Commission: term ends 5/2005 Section 3.
