On May 9th, 2006, the City of Fort Worth City Council adopted a Water Conservation Ordinance for the purpose of promoting efficient water usage and minimizing waste. The City of Southlake is adopting this ordinance. This ordinance calls for specific restrictions as follows: June 1— September 30, no landscape watering 10am -6pm; Only watering by hand or with a soaker hose is permitted. After June 1, 2006, rain and freeze sensors required on all new commercial irrigation systems. By June 1, 2007, existing commercial underground irrigation systems must be retrofitted with rain and freeze sensors.
