13 SOUTHLAI<,,E CITY OF Department of Planning & Development Services STAFF REPORT May 14, 2008 CASE NO: SP 08 -080 PROJECT: Sign Variance for Providence Bank of Texas REQUEST: Providence Bank of Texas is requesting a variance from the Sign Ordinance No. 704 -C regulations for an off -site monument sign. Providence Bank is located at 325 East Southlake Boulevard and the applicant is requesting a monument sign on the adjacent vacant lot to the west, which is addressed as 315 East Southlake Boulevard. Providence Bank is the owner of the adjacent lot and has no immediate plans to sell or develop the lot. Sign Ordinance 704 -C does not permit off -site monument signs. The proposed sign will comply with all other regulations for monument signs. The purpose of this request is to allow signage at Parkwood Drive, which is a primary driveway entrance for the bank.
