Approve a sanitary sewer easement on park property for Oak Pointe
SUBJECT:
Development
Action Requested:
City Council approval of a permanent sanitary sewer easement on park
property located in the Oak Pointe development.
Background
Information:
The City of Southlake has been approached by the developer of Oak
Pointe (located off of Ridgecrest Drive) requesting the City grant on park
property a fifteen (15) foot wide permanent sanitary sewer easement
containing approximately 0.115 of an acre, as more particularly described
in Exhibit “A” and shown on Exhibit “B”.
The developer of Oak Pointe requests this sewer easement as it provides
the most practical alternative, given the location of the manhole east of the
park (Lot 14, Block 2) and depth of the sewer line (approximately 30 feet),
to connecting their planned sewer line for Lots 15 and 16, Block 2 of the
Oak Pointe development.
Both the Engineering and Community Services Departments have
reviewed the alignment and easement documents and are satisfied that the
easement will place no burden or detrimental encumbrance on the park
land.
