Item 9ACity of Southlake Department of Planning & Development Services S T A F F R E P O R T September 12, 2007 SP 07-275 CASE NO: Sign Variance for Michael Anthony’s PROJECT: REQUEST: Victory Awning, on behalf of Michael Anthony’s, is requesting a variance from the Gateway Plaza Phase II (Wyndham Plaza) requirements for attached signs. Michael Anthony’s Fine Dining is located at 2750 East Southlake Boulevard, Suite 140. The applicant is requesting to add an awning to the front of the restaurant that will have attached lettering on three sides. Under the Gateway Plaza Phase II Conditional Sign Permit, tenants are allowed one sign per street frontage with a maximum of two signs per lease space. The proposed lettering on each side of the awning is considered a separate sign. Including the existing attached sign and the proposed awning signs, the applicant is proposing a total of four signs for the restaurant.
