Requested: Appoint members to the Senior Advisory Committee.
Background
Information: The City Council deemed it advisable and necessary to establish a Senior
Advisory Commission for the City of Southlake to act as an advisory
capacity to the City Council in all matters pertaining to senior programs and
issues including development of long -range capital improvement programs,
recommend policies in senior service and improvements, and recommend
senior - related programs for development of recreational facilities and
services.
Ordinance No. 653 establishes the Senior Advisory Commission and states
that the Senior Advisory Commission shall consist of seven (7) citizens of the
City of Southlake, who must be at least 55 years of age; and allows two
members to be less than age 55 if their experience or education is deemed
valuable to the Senior Advisory Commission; and allows for two alternate
members.
The City Council shall appoint the members for two (2) year terms.
The terms for David Baltimore (Place 4, Vice - Chair), Margie Kyle (Place 7,
Secretary), and Cleta Pierce (Place 8, Alternate 1) expired in May 2007.

RESOLUTION NO. 07-038
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE
SENIOR ADVISORY COMMISSION AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council deemed it advisable and necessary to establish a Senior
Advisory Commission for the City of Southlake to act as an advisory capacity to the City

incorporated into the body of this resolution as if copied in their entirety.
